Like I said, Founder sails and all that stuff could stay. Maybe rotate what is available at the shipwright so you can tell who's been afloat for a very long time. I like the idea of just a stock ship with zero cosmetics, just lower the prices to balance the hit, and maybe allow players to "bank" cosmetics. I would definitely like to see some form of penalty for losing your ship though. I don't have an answer for that so I'll leave it to smarter monkeys than I. But that would run into mermaid problems. It would make boarders think twice about their actions as well. Perhaps just spawn them to wherever their ship will respawn after they die? Endlessly respawning is goofy, and spawn camping is just cheap and dirty. haha That's my preference though, and I may or may not be crazy. It would make people think before committing to a blatantly stupid path.Ĭ'est la Well, I mean your pirate died. I would also like to see permadeath for your IPG pirate, their non-account exclusive (preorder/founder/day one patch, etc.) cosmetics and permadeath for your ship and it's livery. I'd like to see more mod options and lower prices across the board. Which is a hefty price in a time sink game like this, but there are zero consequences for biting off more than you can chew or letting your ego (or fear if you're PvE farmers) lead you into stupid decisions. Can't name it, but there's a nameplate so I think that's coming. Just slap a skin on it, but I can't mod it in any way to change physical aspects of the hull's appearance. The ships on here are just so throwaway and that makes me a sad monkey. This is a common problem and recurring thread. As miserably unworth the effort as possible. It is just about making it as tedious, slow and pointless as possible for them. At some point we stop even caring about the treasure. Without being sunk once ourselves.īut this makes forts miserable, often only a lucky pick for sloops at best, and attraction of server hopping lazies who don't want to play the game they just want free wins. Waiting for all the anti-complaint people and server hoppers to come in with the "git gud, nothing needs to change ever, you are just bad." Despite us having finished all the waves of the fort and a technical 6 Galleons. Make it so forts are more common than every 3-5 hours? They aren't even that big of a reward. Penalty for people jumping into game after game, escalating wait time each time a player starts a new crew into a new instance of the game. Or just in a new server instance of the game entirely. If your ship is sunk near a Skeleton fort you are spawned on the opposite side of the map and flagged so scuttling won't spawn you closer. Worst part? It is usually high gold or max rep pirates who do not even need it. I wouldn't mind taking said penalty on my end if other people couldn't just suicide at us over and over and over. Riot can we decrease the respawn time on forts, and make a real penalty for being sunk? In real life getting sunk means losing your ship and possibly dying, a little in game penalty wouldn't hurt. We have no supplies because we have fought 3 Galleons a total of 6 times plus the fort. We defeat the fort between their arrivals and it doesn't matter, there are 3 Galleons around us who popped into the server. Sink one of them 3 times, another twice and another once? Doesn't matter, they will keep coming back. None of the sloops previously on the map bother despite being the most entitled to that fort by merit of actually playing the game.
